Abstract :
This paper introduces the reactive and active power control of Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). A decoupled control scheme has been implemented basing on the current at the terminal of the VSI. The introduced power control can be effectively applied to renewable energy systems in regulation of the power factor to improve the voltage stability and power quality for connected electric power system. Simulation in the environment of Matlab-Simulink is developed to verify the capability of power control as well as power factor control.
