Abstract :
The simple plane sliding method is often used to analyze stability of rock slope. This method have many advantages such as explicit forces, the simple calculation procedure and realistic results. But for the potential instability sliding blocks on rock slope, because the simple plane sliding method does not consider the impact of the two side boundarys and back boundary, the method usually leads to seriously small stability calculating results. In view of this, the authors presented a three-dimensional stability analysis method which can consider the influence of the two side boundarys and back boundary for the sectional sliding blocks on rock slope. Finally, the practicality and rationality of this method was verified by an engineering example.
