Abstract :
The combination of voltage source converter (VSC) based multi-terminals operating at moderate DC voltages (200 kV) and underground DC superconductor cables can create a compelling new option for transmitting renewable energy over long distances with multiple collection and distribution points a virtual, long-distance, high power busbar.
