Abstract :
Results of tests of a nanosecond modulator with a peak output power of 3 GW at a 75-Ohm load are reported. The modulator has been designed for HPM applications. It comprises a type S-5N charging driver and a power compressor based on a pulsed forming line and a gas spark gap.
