Abstract
ERDAS and ENVI are two mainstream professional image processing software systems in remote sensing. How to make the best use of these two in thematic mapping is worth consideration. This paper introduces the basic processes of thematic mapping and highlights their advantages and drawbacks, and gives some suggestions for future work.
