User Requirement Based Service Discovery for Event Planning System

Event planning industry is an important service business. Many such businesses are online and put their offerings on Web using Web services technology. For success of these businesses, planning the events as per customer´s needs is of utmost importance. In this paper, a method has been proposed that facilitates discovery of appropriate service providers to the Event Planning Agent as per constraints given by the customer. The service providers pertaining to service industry publish their non-functional offerings as well as the information about additional facilities in the registry such as UDDI. The proposed method allows use of existing APIs for service publishing and discovery and thus can be easily adopted by the service requester and publisher.
