Abstract
This paper considers the employment of two low-cost GPS receivers for calculating positions based on a new satellite selection criterion. The parameters that decide the set of satellites used for positioning must take into account the coordinated work of both receivers. Thus, they are very different, or even contradictory to those conventionally used when the GPS receiver is working in single mode or in conjunction with a specialized fixed receiver. The method proposes the calculation of positions in the plane using the three highest satellites. The precision obtained with this technique is better than that provided when the receiver uses the conventional correction data
