Application with integration of GIS and other technologies in urban planning & design: Two cases study

The paper, initiated from the status in quo of new technologies applied in urban planning design and the conventional work-flow, provides a new idea of aiding the urban planning design and application with the integration of GIS and other technologies, which fused several new information technologies to each stage of the urban planning & design, such as site analysis, three-dimensional model, public participation, etc. Meanwhile, with the application practices of urban planning cases, it also puts forward a more improved reference and advice to the methodology and application idea of planning & design aided by new technologies.
