  • Abstract
    Based on survey to the intersection of the main roads in Maanshan City, the paper combines the Industry Engineering theories and methods, gathers data and information about the intersection by the Work Sampling and Stopwatch to Time method, determines the average waiting time of vehicles by the M/D/1 model of queuing theory, carries out the comprehensive improvement to the existing access program with the Facilities Planning and Human Factors Engineering. Then, the evaluation and selection of access programs is executed by using AHP according to the certain goals. The results show that the analysis and improvement to the existing access program of the intersection can effectively reduce the traffic pressure and improve the traffic capacity in the premise of ensuring traffic safety.
