Abstract :
TFEL display is a capacitive display driven at high voltage and it requires a high-voltage, large-current driving circuit. A novel driving circuit is proposed in this paper based on the photoelectric features of TFEL. It includes the core controller circuit based on FPGA, the column and row driving circuits, the high voltage supply circuit and the TFEL display. Output range of column driver various in 0~65V while the row driver alternatively output +90V and -130V. Experimental result shows that the proposed driving circuit is capable of driving a 120×480 TFEL of 128 gray scale levels at 100Hz and technology problems due to high voltages are successfully solved.
