Abstract
The intelligent vehicle is a complex system, which should have the ability of environmental perception and intelligent behavior decision-making. This ability is based on a stable automated driving system (ADS). According to the development of ADS for two engine vehicles and an electric car in our laboratory, we compared the development of ADS for these two types of cars in order to arrive at design architecture and get a set of development process of ADS for intelligent vehicles. Moreover, we proposed a set of development process for ADS for intelligent vehicles according to the characteristics of different vehicles. The proposed approaches were proved by experiments.
