Abstract :
The focus of the paper is a comparative study between Single-Controller-Single-Stage (S-CONT-SS) and Double-Controller-Single-Stage (D-CONT-SS) AC-DC PWM full-bridge converters. In the paper, examples of both converter types are presented, the operation of each example converter is explained, and experimental results obtained from each converter are shown. The properties of the two converter types are compared, and guidelines are given for their implementation.
