Abstract
Polyethersulphone contains aromatic functional groups and is expected to be chemically and mechanically stable as well as resistant to the effects of ionising radiation. However previous work has shown that PES is susceptible to radiation damage at high doses. Here we investigate in more detail the effects of dose on the dielectric properties of PES by measuring changes in both the low frequency dielectric spectrum and the thermally stimulated discharge current (TSDC) spectrum
