Abstract :
The paper describes an embedded vehicle diagnostic solution based on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products. This approach has the potential to reduce development and maintenance costs for embedded software solutions through integrated development and software reuse. The proposed solution implements the integrated the storage of test and diagnostic results generated in embedded and maintenance environments, enabling the insertion of third-party intelligent diagnostic reasoners. The solution implements a modular open systems architecture that facilitates the integration of the emerging standard formats defined by the Automatic Test Markup Language (ATML).
