Abstract :
This paper discusses the key attributes that a potential successor to the dominant IOBASE-T should provide. It examines the various Ethernet options available. It will also examine how each ??Ethernet?? technology can be deployed to maximum benefit, and integrated in a heterogeneous LAN environment.
