Abstract
Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) is a promising technology for high-speed communication. In WDM-based multihop networks, the logical network configuration can be changed by reassignment of the wavelengths to transmitters or receivers of the nodes. We propose some reconfiguration procedures to move the nodes logically according to the result from the reconfiguration algorithms, and evaluate their performance by means of simulation. Through simulations, we examine the impact of the tuning time of tunable receivers on the transient packet transmission delay in the reconfiguration procedures, and then compare the performance of the procedures
