Abstract
Wi-Health is an EC sponsored project to help a consortium of SMEs develop a unique combined AE (Acoustic Emission) and LRU (Long Range Ultrasonic) structural health monitoring system for a bridge. The aims of the project, which was started in October 2011, are described, along with some of the challenges which have to be overcome.
