  • Abstract
In this paper we proposed several aIgorithms to construct the surface of three basic three-dimensional objects using 2-simplex meshes: sphere, cylinder, and torus. The algorithm for each basic model consists of three steps: creating vertices, edges and faces. Simplex mesh is a discrete model representation with a constant vertex connectivity. Each vertex of a 2-simplex mesh is connected to three, and only three, neighbors, These basic objects can be used as initial models to perform a deformation of its surface. The deformation fits these initial models to another target model.
