Abstract :
We observed an avalanche phenomenon at room temperature when a hole was injected into cyclohexane by using a thin film tunnel emitter. There are a few observations of an avalanche phenomenon at uniform electric field which is by two orders of magnitude smaller than the breakdown field in cyclohexane. We suppose that the existence of trigger carrier and field enhancement by space charge in carrier multiplication play important roles for an avalanche development
