  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the features of the PXI express specification and how through PXI express, engineers will be able to enable COTS based solutions. PXI express provides a 45X improvement in available system bandwidth, integrates new timing and synchronization features, and provides compatibility with existing software and modules. Through the high bandwidth ability of PXI Express, new applications can be solved with a COTS based approach.
