Abstract
An event driven simulation model of the fiber distributed data interface (FDDI) network protocol is presented. The model, written in C, allows the investigation of an FDDI ring subjected to a variety of load conditions. The number of workstations on the network can be set arbitrarily. The latency distribution for each source, station delay, and the load on this local area network (LAN) are presented
