Abstract
This paper presents our approach to explorations of entertainment aspects of SONY AIBO robots. AIBO is a general purpose quadruped robot and most users enjoy the robot through interactions with AIBO by means of a variety of sensors mounted thereon. The sensors include CCD camera, infrared ranging sensor, microphone, accelerometer, many touch sensors and so on. Main purpose of this study is twofold. One is to make AIBO demonstrate an impressive dance performance, and other is to make it do some recognition tasks based on the microphone.
