Abstract :
The electric properties of the liquid isolator were studied. We described the time dependent model of the conduction process of the isolator under high voltages. There also was made the calculation of the electric field distribution for two types of problem: (a) The external electric field applied to liquid is created by the plane electrodes. (b) It is created by the spherical electrode of a small size. The electrodes are supposed to be under high voltage which is not dependent on time. There is no emission of electrons or ion injection from the electrodes. But the field intensity influence the dissociation rate, and this fact was taken into account. We have shown that the space charge arise under conditions above and this space charge gave rise to changes in the electric field distribution
