Abstract
In this work. we have measured and analyzed the electrical impedance response of different wpes of tissue The electrical characterization of human nerves. done on the skin, shows a lower resistance and a larger capacitance when the electrodes are dispsed at the position above the nene thm in positions away from the nerve. The interpretation of these results was supported with measurements in exposed nerves and muscle of rats under anesthesia. The impedance measurements in the nerves and surrouiiding skin were canied out iir vivo. The electrical capacitance and resistance. was obtained as a function of frequency in the range of 1 Hz to 1 Mhz.
