Abstract
This paper presents a high efficiency self - oscillating electronic ballast which is working under both ON and OFF Zero Current Switching (ZCS). The lamp current stabilization is reached by an input current shaper converter which also get high power factor. The input current shaper converter is controlled by pln extra winding in the self-oscillating circuit. So, there are no integrated circuits in the proposed electronic ballast. Besides, the paper proposes B very simple circuit for keeping constant lamp power under input voltage variations, The experimental results show agreement with the IEC 1000-3-2 regulation.
