Abstract :
Due to recent tendencies to eliminate the electrodes in discharge lamps, this paper presents a feasitdity study to determine whether is possible to replace elecfrode terminals with capacitance coupling operating QS glow discharge. The results showed that is possible to operate a fruorescent lamp using capacitive coupling at relatively low frequencies and obfain a considerable large luminous eficacy.
