Abstract :
There are various real-time locating systems (RTLS) in the market now. Each type of RTLS fits different needs, depending on its ranging and precision. There is a RTLS that gives the highest precision than ever, that is Ultra-Wideband (UWB) RTLS. This paper first gives an overview on RTLS and UWB. The paper then describes the UWB RTLS, introducing the advantages of UWB in precise real-time locating. The paper then describes the software technique, skill, methodology and how the applications are designed based on UWB RTLS by using Microsoft Visual Studio C#.
