Abstract :
To evaluate performance of non-flammable power apparatus, the effects of bubbles with and without dissolved SF6 gas on the AC and lightning impulse insulation characteristics of perfluorocarbon is studied. With the bubbles in perfluorocarbon liquid, breakdown phenomena related to bubbles crossing a uniform field gap studied. Then, relationships between bubble behavior and the insulation characteristics of perfluorocarbon are discussed
