Abstract :
This work deals with fuzzy control methodologies applied to control of dynamical systems. Problems related with the stability of rule-based controllers are developed through concrete examples. The contribution to improve the design and potentiate the behavior of fuzzy-logic controllers is provided through a rule modification procedure called controller improvement procedure (CIP). Some guidelines are introduced to design rule-based controllers by considering the relationship between stability properties and knowledge-based rules. Features of theoretical problems and the inverted pendulum are used for experimental work. Results of applied techniques and proposed benefits are analyzed with Lyapunov´s stability theorem, introducing a ratio to design Lyapunov´s functions
