Abstract :
The author shows that in spite of many problems, computer aided digital measurement techniques may be applied as an effective tool in the recognition of internal defects inside the complex insulating system, but thorough investigations of the prebreakdown state and a correct analysis of collected data are required. The best results can be obtained by defining the exact model for each insulating system
