Abstract
Human facial feature extraction is an important step in many facial image interpretation tasks. In this paper, an algorithm for detecting facial features is proposed, in which corner-based facial feature detectors are coupled with a statistical model of the spatial arrangement of facial features to yield a robust performance. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust and can extract facial features with good accuracy.
