  • Abstract
A circuit following sudden load fluctuation is demanded in a power supply for information equipment. A DC-DC power converter consisting of class DE amplifier and class D rectifier is a circuit which can maintain high efficiency under high frequency operation by class E switching. This is a circuit which does not include a choke coil. Therefore it is suitable for sudden load fluctuations. Frequency control and synchronous rectifier control are proposed as the control method of this power converter. This paper analyzes the control characteristic of this method. As a result, when the phase control angle is zero and there is no change in switching frequency, there is no essential difference in both control methods. However, when the phase control angle changes in the case of synchronous rectifier control, the dynamic characteristics also change
