Abstract
On wireless networks, the bandwidth is shared between the clients, which means that the available bandwidth always fluctuates. Adaptive multimedia contents are required because of this fluctuation in order to optimize the wireless available bandwidth. In this article, we describe NetMoVie a new architecture for the management of adaptive streaming based on the RTP standard. NetMoVie optimizes the bandwidth by providing a hybrid encoding solution and also reduces the time needed to change the quality delivered to the clients.
