Abstract :
Using differential scanning calorimetry and dielectric spectroscopy, we investigate the molecular dynamic changes in a commercial liquid silicone rubber when silica nanoparticles are added. The semi-crystalline phase obtained when the commercial product is quenched and its low cold crystallization can be explained by the presence of fumed silica in great amount in the matrix and the crosslinking of polymer. As nano-silica fillers are added in the commercial product, the crystallization become lower during the cooling scan and explains a higher cold crystallization as the sample is reheated. No change appear in the the glass transition temperature with the addition of nano-silica
