Abstract
World Wide Web-based training is a new form of distance learning that has become increasingly popular in the corporate world. It is perceived as a cheaper, faster and more efficient way to train a large number of employees anywhere in the world. This paper discusses the reasons behind the early adoption of Web-based training. It also describes Sun Microsystems´ Web-based training environment, followed by a discussion of the system´s benefits and challenges
