Abstract :
This paper presents the CPW-fed equilateral decagon slot antennas. The proposed antenna design with two steps, firstly, the impedance bandwidth equilateral decagon slot antenna (EDSA) is improved by modify embedding narrow slits on exciting patch. Finally, the periodic slot stubs are placed on two sides ground of CPW feeding element. The impedance bandwidth enhancement is obtained. The measured return loss results show the impedance bandwidth from 1.71-11.60 GHz or 148.61 %. The radiation patterns of the proposed antenna shown good agreement between the simulation and measured results, and provide nearly omni-directional in xz plane over all range. Therefore, the proposed antenna is a good candidate to use for PCS, UMTS, WLAN/WiMAX operation.
