Abstract :
A variable gain amplifier based on feedback has IM/sub 3/-products below -67 dBc around the 10.7 MHz IF of an AM/FM radio receiver. It consumes 2.7 mA from a 2.5 V supply delivering a differential output signal of 1.4 V/sub pp/ with 96 dB dynamic range in a 9 kHz AM channel. The active area is 0.038 mm/sup 2/ in 0.25 /spl mu/m CMOS.
