Abstract :
This paper proposes a new network service platform with a carrier-oriented home gateway that can expand current network services. With this service platform, the carrier/service provider can offer various new network services and end users can choose those services dynamically and use them soon without any complicated pre-configuration. The carrier/service provider can maintain this home gateway device as well as their services. In this paper we consider the essential features of future network services, and then we propose our service platform and introduce the service gateway, which we call a carrier-oriented home gateway, we have developed
