Abstract
Indoor air quality (IAQ) of civil buildings in different air supply modes was investigated. Air distribution of natural and mechanical ventilation was discussed. The design idea and control methods of IAQ were put forward. Results show that low carbon buildings should consider first the natural ventilation, and suitable orientation should be taken fully into account in architectural design. Mechanical ventilation system has not only to provide proper fresh air, but also to ensure the quality of air supply. The air supply of traditional air conditioning system is unfavorable. Displacement ventilation has higher air exchange efficiency, and it is by far the best supply of air distribution.
