Abstract
Performance of Crest Factor Reduction (CFR) technique based on peak windowing scheme along with Digital Predistortion (DPD) technique using Generalized Memory Polynomial (GMPDPD) is studied, and its effect on the performance of power amplifier (PA) is reported. Experimental results show that at system level the CFR techniques can reasonably reduce the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of the input signals, but to comply with the stringent requirements of the modern communication standards, the linearization techniques need to be more efficient to constrain the Out-Of-Band (OOB) radiations generated by the CFR technique used.
