Abstract :
This paper proposes a authentic and efficient method for solving optimal power flow (OPF) problem. The proposed approach uses iteration particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm for optimal regulation of control variables of OPF problem. Employing of IPSO has a better performance than conventional PSO in converging to global optimum. It also avoids falling into local optimum and premature convergence, so search behavior is improved. To ensure the effectiveness of proposed method in comparison with previous approaches, the proposed algorithm has been applied to IEEE 30 bus test system with considering different objectives such as minimization of fuel cost plant, improvement of voltage profile and voltage stability intensification. Simulation results confirm the proficiency of the proposed algorithm.
