  • Abstract
    The Hongkong Electric Co. Ltd. (HK Electric) was among the pioneer companies to apply remote monitoring and control technology in power system operations. HK Electric had its first Energy Management System (EMS) for generation and transmission operations in the 1970s and its Distribution Management System (DMS) introduced in the early 1980s. With such a long history, HK Electric had developed numerous unique and crucial functionalities to maintain its outstanding supply reliability and security.
