TOPSwitch in power factor correction circuit

Single-chip switching power supply has been widely applied in the electric field for its excellent performance, the first generation of products TOPSwitch series developed by United States Power Integrations Inc (PI´s) are not only widely used in AC / DC power converters, but also a good performance in the power factor correction. This paper introduces the TOPSwitch-based power factor correction circuit works, typical applications and production of physical performance tests and achieved good results.
