Abstract
A broad approach toward reuse is described that is intended to maximize the impact on customers and to improve internal development productivity is described. Four reuse-oriented projects currently underway are discussed. The assumptions on which this reuse program is based are examined. Consideration is then given to: modules, families, and reuse libraries; domain analysis; canonical design and synthesis; relating reuse to prototyping; and the present status of the program.<>
