Experiments on outdoor thermal comfort of traditonal comb-layout village in Lingnan China

Lingnan traditional villages had three kind of outdoor spaces and they were trees shade, laneway space and Heping. The experiments of Jinjiangli village in Kaiping showed that the outdoor comfort of trees shadow and laneways was good, much of time it could fit people´s need; because Heping was expowased to the sun and the outdoor comfort of Heping was high in the noon and a while afternoon and it was not suitable for people to work at the time. Combined with the work time at that age, the outdoor comfort was acceptable to the people lived there.
