Abstract :
This paper take laterally reduction coefficient from the present code of General Code for Design of Highway Bridges and Culvers for the object of study. At first, analyzing the calculating prerequisite of laterally reduction coefficient from bridge code, and comparative analyzing the practical situation of current road traffic load, then the flexibility of laterally reduction coefficient is fixed. The study suggest that the coefficient should be lifted when the calculating situation of laterally reduction coefficient have changed.
