  • Abstract
    The chemical modification of LDPE with active silicone oil was studied in this paper, The results of infrared spectroscopy and melt index(MI) measure-went showed active silicone oil molecules are grafted onto LDPE in molten state with dicamyl peroxide (DCP) as initiator. Environmental--stress cracking (ESC) resistance of LDPE grafted with silicon oil was improved apparently. The breakdown voltage at working frequency and indicative voltage of treeing initiation are also enhanced significantly.
