Abstract :
Computer software-SAP2000 for structure is used to analyze the interaction between foundation and silos supported by cylinder under horizontal earthquake action. In this paper viscous-spring boundary is introduced. Data files are written according to SAP2000´s special form to establish reinforced concrete silo models. The basic frequency calculation and horizontal earthquake time-history analysis of the silos can be done. Then the effect of the interaction between silos and foundation on the basic frequency of vibration and earthquake shear force can be obtained. And the effect of interaction on the dynamic characteristics of foundation can be gained. Lastly, the regress formula of horizontal earthquake shear force reduction coefficient of silos supported by cylinder under interaction can be achieved.
