Abstract :
The continuously increasing demand of electrical energy and the consequence on transmission lines lead to develop high and ultra high voltage networks using AC and DC technology. Their control, protection, metering and power quality measurements are nowadays based on modern IED (Intelligent Electronic Devices) using digital electronics miniaturized, sophisticated and able to support severe requirements on the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
