Abstract :
This study is to design a pickup head of Blu-ray and DVD device with one PDIC (phase detector integrated circuit). We use a rhomboid prism in parallel with two laser diodes. And HOEs (Holographic optical element) are used to reflect beam from different light sources and make them on the same PDIC. The geometrical size and optical components of the pickup head are reduced.
